This type of PoA allows you to designate someone to handle your affairs for you. There is often confusion about the two types of document. Put simply the Enduring Power of Attorney is used if you expect to lose mental capacity (eg through a stroke, dementia or being in a coma). A "normal" Power of Attorney document is only for use while you are fully capable of making decisions. If you want to make an Enduring Power of Attorney click here.
